Luke Born: 2009-04-01 Luke, the day we met you, we knew that you had to be part of out lives & you came home with us. We know you were special & we have been so honoured that could have been part of our lives for almost two years. Sadly you will be missed & you have left such a massive empty place in our hearts. We already miss our time we spend together playing with the rugby ball. I know you will be an angel, guarding over us. Untill we meet again.... Your buddies are missing you, Fanta, Sophia, Misty; Kerr, Ronaldo, Leonard, Elsabe & Morne.

It is a very sad day for us today - this morning we lost ZEUS - one of our HuskyHaven residents. Zeus originally came to us as a stray from the townships of PE, he realized that he had multiple health issues, but did our best to get him back on track, he enjoyed his life at the Haven, loved his food, his time in the exercise runs and all the cuddles and human attention. He went into multiple organ failure on Wednesday and our vet thought that even with aggressive treatment he would never regain a reasonable life quality, so sadly we had to let him go this morning. It is always hard to loose an animal, for us even more so as he never found his forever home and a family to love him. RIP Zeus |

You found HRSA while wondering the streets ...... we couldn't find your family so you came to live with me until we could find you a new family. You weren't with me for long before we realised you were sick, one complication after another. Gully we had so many dreams for you, we had already decided that you needed a super special new family, only the best would be good enough for you. We did everything for you but you found us too late and you werent strong enough to pull through. When I went to visit you, you were very brave and tried to be strong so that I wouldn't worry more about you. When you saw me crying it took everything you had in you to get up to cuddle and kiss me to make me feel better. We didnt want to give up on you but it wasnt fair to let you carry on suffering. It broke my heart to see you in so much pain. You weren't alone when you crossed over and had somebody there with you, to hold you and love you in your final moments. You also had somebody cry for you after you were gone. I truly hope you knew that you were loved, even if only for a short while. You are missed and will always be special to this family. R.I.P sweet Gulliver, you were a special boy and I am so sorry that I couldn't change your world for you. Danielle, Candice and Bianca Your foster family that adored you |

IN LOVING MEMORY OF SAHARA My darling Sahara, my big cuddlebunny "Red Boy", life was very cruel to you, but you came to us for the last few months of your life and were part of our family. May you fly on your golden doggie wings and say hello to Arizona from all of us. You will never be forgotten. Your Housemom Jane and your Caregiver Amos. FROM MONTANA God Speed my Buddy, you were the "old boy" of the pack and were not that keen on playing but we did have fun in the pond, and I will miss our splashes, although you didn't "splash" much lately, I tried to jolly you along, and you did respond in a way, but last night I slept with you on your blanket, and you have NEVER allowed me to do that before so I realised you were very very tired. Happy splashes with Arizona in doggie heaven, oh hang on, Arizona didn't like the water, but say Hi anyway. FROM TESSA Farewell Gentleman Jim, we were the real oldies in our home, and you were so tolerant of me when I decided that I wanted your food too, you always let me eat it and just walked away, and then our Housemom sneaked you some more when I wasn't looking. A gentleman to the end. I will miss you, FROM 'THE BRAKKIES - Lambo and Ghini Cheers old man, you were always very tolerant of us, even though we used to climb all over you, you let us snuggle with you when it was cold and "hid" us when Max was after us because we had annoyed him!!! FROM SAM AND CHELSEA - the "girls" Cheers Kitchen Doggie, we will always remember you in your "corner" of the kitchen with Princess Margaret (aka Tessa) on her blanket next to you, you let us "lick" you better when you got your head stuck in the window bars, we still don't know how you managed to do it, because you were a wise old doggy, and now we understand that you had "Old doggie disease" and you didn't know what you were doing, and that is why our Housemom thought it would be better to take you to the Doctor and send you to Doggie Heaven to be with Arizona. FROM MAX - Howzit "boet" hope it is good "upthere" NOW who am I going to play with, Arizona is gone, now you are gone, OK you have been "gone" for a while with Old Doggie Disease, I don't really understand it, but your blanket has gone and it is only the "old bats" (Tessa's )in the kitchen now, thought I was going to score that, but clearly our Housemum thinks otherwise. Farewell my friend, it was short but it was cool knowing you. Teach that lot up there some manners, our Housemom said you were the only one who had manners!! REST IN PEACE OUR "GENTLEMAN JIM" BIG RED BOY SAHARA |

TO MY FRIEND ARIZONA, I miss you already. It wasn't that long ago that our HouseMum Jane sent this pic to Jasper to put on the Husky Page. You left with our HouseMum and Amos today, all wrapped up in your blanket and I just knew there was something wrong, and our Housemum is home now and you are not with her, so I guess you have gone. I looked in "our house" but you weren't there, I went to "your" house and you weren't there, so sorry I ate your food, You were my buddy, I like the other doggies but you were special, we spent so much time together, and now I guess I will just have to put the two little.
TO OUR HOUSE BUDDY ARIZONA - well we all knew there was something wrong this morning, our HouseMum was crying you were wrapped in a blanket, then Amos came, he never comes on Thursdays, so I guess we all knew there was something horribly wrong. We have all been out the back now with Miss Piggy and we can't find you either, so I guess Miss Piggy is right, you have gone. RIP our Housebuddy - We will miss you - big paw hugs from Montana, Sahara, Tess, Chelsea, Sam, Max, Lambo and Ghini. TO MY DARLING ARIZONA - thank goodness I was with you when you were in your last hours. I was with you to the end, Amos too, we tried to save you but we couldn't. RIP my angel, and may Doggie Heaven be as Golden as you were. GOD BLESS. I will never forget you. A HUGE THANK YOU TO COLIN and ALL AT RADIOKOP VET WHO TRIED TO SAVE ARIZONA - it was too late. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EMPATHY AND YOUR EFFORTS TO TRY AND SAVE HIM, from both Myself and Amos. THANKYOU. TO ALL AT HUSKY RESCUE, Elke, Joanne, Jasper and the rest of you, thank you all for your kind thoughts and your notes of sympathy. I do realise that working with animals like this is always going to be tough, But I do know that his last few months, it was a very short time that I had him, he was happy and healthy and loved life. REST IN PEACE MY DARLING ARIZONA. |

Argos Bones went in for what I thought was going to be a full check up and then his sterilisation this morning. I told the vet all his symptoms and asked to xray for Spiro Sirca as well. Bones’ colour was back to grey this morning too, and on the lead he choked up lots of white goo. This was from his lungs. I just received a call now from the vet: it is very sad news. Bones has very progressed Spiro Sirca ( excuse spelling), it has grown above his heart and his heart rate was a constant double what it should be and his breathing is erratic. The tumour is very large. The vet has recommended he be euthanatized as he is already in pain and he will not have any quality of life. The vet was amazed that he even put any weight on at all – Julie this is only thanks to your Vondis and all the supplements. We can never thank you enough for your big part in helping him in his last month to feel good. Thank you everyone for your tremendous support for this very special boy. |

To Skye, Cleo and Reuben… You were my first three precious Sibe kids, you taught me your meaning of love, patience, determination, laughter and loyalty. But mostly I am proud that God chose me to be your keeper for the time that He allowed you to be on this earth. Till we meet again… Yours forever Charnell 2008/2009 |
